Trying to concentrate on schoolwork is tough enough as is, but it gets much more difficult if you’re in bed or lounging on the sofa. Your brain associates certain places with specific activities. It is important to establish a space solely dedicated to study. Whether it's a corner of your home, or a nearby coffee shop, dedicating a space solely for study is a crucial first step.

Set Timers
Time management is a key factor when it comes to productivity. A trick that I’ve found that really helps me out is setting a 20–30 minute timer for focused work, followed by a 5–10 minute break between each session. When your break finishes, you know it's time to drop everything and work.

Reward Yourself
Positive reinforcement, where you reward a job well done, is scientifically proven to be the most effective form of motivation. This can be anything from grabbing yourself a sweet treat to scrolling through TikTok for five minutes. Every milestone you’ve completed, even if it’s just doing a small portion of an assignment, should be celebrated.
